New Zealand Placemaking Week sees a series of activities happening in public spaces across Aotearoa from 19th to 20th of October 2019.
We are excited to culminate this years Placemaking week with the 24 Hour Placemaking Challenge, and we would like you to be involved!
When and Where?
19th & 20th of October
Teams will be given 24 hours to deliver a temporary Public Space/activity that enriches the space, making it more alive and people friendly, and (most importantly) makes people smile.
Your team will be issued:
One Public Space
The 2019 placemaking challenge theme (TBA)
A basic budget to cover some expenses
Your activation/place must be created between 9 am Saturday, October 19th and 9 am Sunday, October 20th - with the activation/place live from 9 am on Sunday 20th of October.
You can use any resources you have available.
You must include all the required props and themes supplied.
You must have one team leader who will be the first point of contact.
Your team needs to consist of 2 or more people.
Your activity/place must be inclusive of all ages.
After the challenge, the activation/place has to be removed (making good of the site)
